Service menu

Six jobs we’d back against any dealer.

We are not a quick-lube. These are the repairs that need real diagnostic equipment and a technician who has seen the failure before.

Engine & Transmission Rebuilds

Full teardown, machine work and reassembly to spec — with a written failure analysis so you know why it went, not just what it cost.

$3,400 – $9,800 · 3yr / 36k warranty

Advanced Diagnostics

Factory-level scan tools, oscilloscope testing and smoke machines. We find the actual fault instead of replacing parts until the light goes out.

$149 · credited to the repair

Brakes & Suspension

Pads, rotors, calipers, struts, bushings and alignment. We machine or replace rotors rather than slapping pads onto a warped surface.

$320 – $1,400 per axle

Electrical & Module Programming

Parasitic draws, CAN bus faults, sensor calibration and module flashing. The work most independent shops send away — we do it in-house.

$180 – $2,200

Fleet & Commercial Service

Scheduled PM for vans and light trucks, with online service history per unit and priority bays so your vehicles are back earning the same day.

Contract pricing · priority bays

Pre-Purchase Inspections

A 142-point inspection with photos and a paint-depth gauge before you buy. The best $189 anyone spends on a used car, and it has killed a lot of bad deals.

The shop

Nine master techs. One rule: prove it.

My father opened these bays in 1999 and I have been under cars in them since I was fourteen. Nobody here replaces a part until they can show you why it failed. That single rule is the whole business.

It costs us money — real diagnostic time is slower than parts-swapping, and we turn away work we cannot do properly. It has also kept the same customers coming back for twenty-seven years, and their kids now bring us their first cars.

Why Redline

Six reasons people stop shopping for a mechanic.

01

We show you the failed part

Photographed on the lift, or handed to you in a box. If we say a wheel bearing is shot, you get to hear it and see it. No shop should ask you to take that on faith.

02

Digital inspection before any work

Every vehicle gets a photo and video inspection texted to you, colour-coded red, amber and green — with the amber items listed as "can wait", not quietly rolled into today's invoice.

03

Nothing gets touched without approval

You approve each line item from your phone before we start. If we find something mid-job, work stops and you get a call. No surprise invoices, ever.

04

3 year / 36,000 mile warranty

Nationwide, on parts and labour. Most shops offer 12 months. Ours is three years because the work is done properly the first time and we would rather not see you again for the same fault.

05

Master technicians, not parts changers

Every technician here is ASE Master certified with L1 advanced engine performance. That is what lets us diagnose an intermittent fault instead of guessing at it expensively.

06

Free loaner or a ride, either way

Loaner cars for anything over a day, and a shuttle within ten miles otherwise. Your car being in the shop shouldn't cost you a day of work as well.

Two taps gives you the most likely cause, how urgent it genuinely is, and a real cost range — before you book anything, and before anyone tries to sell you a repair.

Dealer quoted $4,200 for a transmission replacement on a check-engine light. Redline scoped it, found a $310 solenoid, and showed me the waveform on their scope. Two years later it is still fine.

The texted inspection with photos changed how I think about mechanics. I could see the torn boot myself. They also flagged three amber items and told me plainly which one could wait a year.

I had them inspect a used truck before buying. They found frame repair the seller hadn't disclosed and paint depth that didn't match. That $189 saved me about eleven thousand dollars.

We run nine service vans. Redline keeps every one of them on schedule and gets us same-day turnaround on anything that goes down. Our downtime dropped by about two-thirds.

An electrical gremlin three other shops gave up on. Redline traced a chafed harness behind the dash in an afternoon. They charged me two hours of diagnostic and fixed it for under $400.

Engine rebuild on a car I am not ready to give up on. They wrote me a failure analysis explaining exactly why the original let go. Nobody has ever handed me a document like that.

Straight answers

The questions we get in the waiting room.

Yes — $149 for a full diagnostic, and we credit it against the repair if you go ahead with us. Free diagnostics are a sales tactic; they lead to guessing and parts-swapping because nobody is paid to actually find the fault. Ours buys you factory scan tools, oscilloscope testing and a technician's time until the cause is proven.

Generally 25 to 40 percent less on labour for the same work, with the same or better parts. We use OEM or OE-equivalent components, we have factory-level diagnostic equipment, and we can program modules in-house. The main things we genuinely cannot do are open recalls and warranty work — for those you need the dealer, and we will tell you so.

No. Federal law is clear on this: a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because an independent shop performed maintenance, as long as the correct parts and specifications are used. We record everything with parts numbers and mileage so your service history stands up if it is ever questioned.

Most diagnostics are same-day if you drop off before 9am. Brakes and suspension are typically same-day. Engine and transmission work runs three to seven business days depending on machine shop time and parts availability. You get a text with a firm estimate of completion once we have diagnosed the fault, and updates if that changes.

Three years or 36,000 miles on parts and labour, honoured nationwide through our repair network. If something we replaced fails while you are three states away, it is covered there too. Keep your invoice — that is all a partner shop needs.

Honestly, we would rather you didn't, and here is the reason: we cannot warranty a part we did not source. If a customer-supplied component fails, you pay the labour twice. We will happily show you our parts pricing and margin, and if you have found something genuinely cheaper we will usually match it.
