What we respond to

Six kinds of very bad day.

Everything below is mitigated, dried, documented and — if you want — rebuilt by the same company under one contract and one project manager.

Water Damage Extraction

Truck-mounted extraction, structural drying with monitored air movers and LGR dehumidifiers, and moisture readings logged twice daily until every material is back to dry standard.

$1,400 – $8,600 typical

Fire & Smoke Restoration

Soot removal, thermal fogging, HEPA air scrubbing and full contents cleaning. Smoke odour lives in the framing, not the paint, which is why sealing over it never works.

$4,800 – $46,000

Mould Remediation

Containment built before anything is disturbed, negative air machines running throughout, affected material removed to two feet past the visible growth, then third-party clearance testing.

$1,800 – $14,000

Storm & Board-Up

Emergency tarping, board-up and shoring within the hour, so the building stops taking damage while everyone waits on the adjuster. We secure first and price it afterwards.

$600 – $5,200

Sewage & Biohazard

Category 3 water, sewage backups and trauma scenes. Full PPE, EPA-registered antimicrobials, porous material removed rather than cleaned, and documented disposal.

$2,200 – $12,000

Reconstruction

One contract from demolition to the last coat of paint, so nobody hands you off to a builder halfway. Drywall, flooring, cabinets, trim and paint by our own carpenters.

Claims

Your deductible. Nothing else.

Most people call their insurer first and lose four hours. Here is the order that actually protects both your house and your claim — and every step of it is something we do rather than something you do.

Call Dispatch — (555) 411-0900
  1. 01

    Call us before the insurer

You are entitled to choose your own restoration firm. Calling us first means the mitigation starts now rather than after an adjuster's schedule allows.

  2. 02

    We document from minute one

Photographs, moisture maps and a full scope written in the estimating software your carrier already uses. Undocumented damage is unpaid damage.

  3. 03

    We stop the loss spreading

Extraction, containment or board-up within the hour. Every policy obliges you to mitigate — doing it quickly protects your claim as well as your house.

  4. 04

    We negotiate the line items

Adjusters query things. Our estimators do this daily and speak that language, and you are not in the middle of it.

  5. 05

    You pay your deductible

That is the whole of your out-of-pocket on a covered loss. We bill the carrier directly for the rest.

Our crews

Somebody is awake right now waiting for this call.

I spent nine years as an adjuster before I started this company, which means I have watched a great many claims fail for the same reason. Damage that is not documented at the moment it happens is damage nobody pays for.

So we photograph and meter from the first minute, write the scope in the software your adjuster already uses, and hand you the whole file whether you hire us for the rebuild or not. Two crews sleep on call every night with loaded trucks, and the phone is answered by a person.

Why this crew

Six things worth checking before you let anyone in.

Sixty-minute response, genuinely

Two crews on call every night with loaded trucks. Our median arrival time last year was 47 minutes, and we publish it monthly because most companies quoting 'rapid response' will not.

We bill your insurer directly

You pay your deductible and nothing else. We write the estimate in the software your adjuster already uses, document everything to their standard, and argue the line items so you do not have to.

Readings, not opinions

Moisture meters and thermal imaging twice a day on every affected material, logged and shared with you and the adjuster. Drying is finished when the numbers say so, not when the week is up.

IICRC certified, all of them

Water Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire and Smoke, and Applied Microbial Remediation. Not one certificate on the office wall — every technician who enters your house holds them.

One contract through rebuild

Most firms dry the structure and hand you to a builder. We take it from the first extraction to the final coat of paint, which removes the argument about who caused what.

You get the photographs

Every stage documented and shared as it happens — before, during, after, and every meter reading. It is your claim file, and you keep it whether you use us for the rebuild or not.

Free assessment

How bad is it, actually?

The triage runs the same scoping logic our estimators use on site — equipment counts from affected area, dry time from category and elapsed hours, and the honest answer about whether your insurer will cover it.

If water is still running

Shut off the supply at the main, keep everyone off wet flooring above a basement, and call (555) 411-0900 now. Do not use a household vacuum on standing water, and do not enter a room where water has reached an outlet.

People we met on their worst day.

★★★★★

Supply line let go at two in the morning on the second floor. They had trucks here inside forty minutes and were extracting before I had found the stopcock. Downstairs ceiling was saved.

The adjuster initially refused the subfloor. Their estimator sent through the moisture logs and the thermal images and it was approved in two days. I would not have known how to argue any of it.

Kitchen fire. What surprised me was the contents cleaning — they took away boxes of things I assumed were gone and returned them cleaned and inventoried, including my father's books.

Devon AchebeMarsden Row · Fire & smoke

Third company we called about the mould. The first two quoted a spray-and-seal. Rapid Response built containment, cut back two feet past the growth, and brought in an independent tester for clearance.

Storm took half the roof off at nine at night. Tarped and shored by eleven. They did not ask for a card number or talk about price until the building was secure.

Gareth PembertonOld Mill Lane · Storm response

They dried it, then rebuilt it — same company, same project manager, one number to call for eleven weeks. After a flood that continuity was worth more than I can easily explain.

What people ask at 3am.

We hold two crews on call overnight with loaded trucks, and our median arrival across last year was 47 minutes inside the service area. We publish that figure monthly on our site, which almost nobody advertising rapid response is willing to do. If we cannot make it inside the hour we will tell you on the call rather than let you wait.

Call us first, then them. You have the right to choose your own restoration contractor — your insurer can recommend, but it cannot require. More importantly, every policy obliges you to mitigate the loss promptly, and mitigation starting within the hour rather than after an adjuster's schedule allows is both better for the building and better for your claim.

On a covered loss, your deductible and nothing else. We bill the carrier directly, write the estimate in the software your adjuster already uses, and handle the line-item negotiation ourselves. If the loss is not covered, you get a fixed written price before we do anything beyond the emergency mitigation.

Typically three to five days for a Category 1 loss on one or two rooms, and up to two weeks for larger or Category 3 losses with saturated structural material. We take moisture readings twice a day on every affected material and drying is finished when those numbers hit dry standard — not when a set number of days has elapsed. Anyone quoting a fixed drying time before they have taken a reading is guessing.

Carpet often, if the water is Category 1 and we get to it within about 48 hours — the pad is usually replaced regardless. Drywall depends on how far the water wicked up; we drill and inject rather than gut where the readings allow it. Hardwood can frequently be dried in place with mats, which is dramatically cheaper than replacement, but the window is short. Category 3 water changes all of these answers to no.

Yes, under one contract with the same project manager. Most firms dry the structure and then hand you to a builder, which is where claims stall and where the argument about who caused what begins. Our carpenters do drywall, flooring, cabinets, trim and paint, and the rebuild is scoped as part of the same claim.
