+2,283% organic traffic
One practice, one market, and an eleven times return on what they spent with us. Organic visits went from six a day to 143, and a single $800 month of SEO produced a $9,000 emergency case.

02 The challenge
Problems we solve
Three things keep a good local business out of the map results, and all three are visible in an audit before anybody spends a dollar.
You are not in the three-pack
On a phone the map and its three results fill the screen before a single organic link. Ranking below it still loses the call to whoever is inside it.
Your profile is filed wrong
A primary category that does not match the job you want, service areas set to the whole state, and services left blank. We find at least one of these on roughly half the profiles we audit.
Your details disagree
Three phone numbers across four directories makes Google less confident about which business is which, and confidence is exactly what local prominence is made of.
03 How we work
Our local SEO process
Fix what is simply wrong first, because it costs visibility every day it stands. Then build the things that compound.
-
Audit the profile
Categories, service areas, hours, services, photos and review replies, checked against what people actually search for. Same-week fixes that often move visibility before anything slower starts.
-
Fix the contradictions
Name, address and phone made to agree across Apple Maps, Bing Places, directories and your own site, so Google stops having to guess which listing is right.
-
Build the area pages
One page per area you genuinely serve, each with real local detail. Three good ones beat ten made by find and replace, which can drag the whole site down.
-
Run the review routine
Requests sent at the moment the customer is happiest, replies written for what arrives, including the bad ones. Steady beats a burst of ten in a week.
-
Report from your customers' side
Map position measured across a grid of your service area, not from your own desk, alongside calls, direction requests and review velocity.

04 What you get
What the work actually covers
Six things, every month, each one connected to something you can feel in the business.
Profile management
Categories, services, photos, posts, holiday hours and questions, kept current in your account with us as a manager.
Map rank tracking
Position measured from a grid of points across your service area, which is the only version that shows what customers see.
Service area pages
Written at the rate we can write them properly, starting with the areas your best jobs already come from.
Review generation
A routine that keeps running without you remembering it, plus replies written for every review that lands.
Citation cleanup
Mismatched listings found and corrected, missing ones built, so your details agree everywhere they appear.
Reporting that ends in calls
Calls, direction requests, website clicks and the search terms people used, not a PDF of impressions.

05 Round Rock & Austin local SEO
Austin, Round Rock and the rest of Central Texas
We are in Round Rock and work across the towns around it: Brushy Creek, Georgetown, Hutto, Cedar Park, Leander and Pflugerville, into Austin itself, west to West Lake Hills and Bee Cave, and south to San Marcos.
Local search is the one part of this work where being nearby genuinely helps. Whether a searcher in Forest Creek gets shown a business on Louis Henna or one on A.W. Grimes comes down to a few hundred metres, and knowing that changes which areas are worth chasing. Businesses registered with the City of Round Rock also have citation and licensing details worth getting consistent before anything else.

What clients say about the search work
Google reviews of Visible Owl, all five stars, from clients whose ranking and lead flow is the thing being described.
Very professional team, results oriented, and deeply experienced in the Dental Market. We had a great success working with Visible Owl team, and our SEO ranking significantly improved and the google ranking as well. We are so grateful for the work they have done so far to improve our website and Google Business Profile.
Our business is finally ranked for keywords that are relevant, and we started seeing leads come in in the second month of working with Abdullah, thank you guys.
They found a lot of little problems that were adding up and rebuilt the strategy around the services that actually make us money. Probably the first marketing company we’ve worked with where I actually understand what they’re doing and why.
07 Money
What local SEO costs
Local SEO starts with the Launch plan, from $395 a month: Google Business Profile optimization and posts, a monthly on-page update and a monthly report. The Expand plan, from $995, adds local SEO for your service and city pages, plus blog posts. Month to month, no contract, no setup fee.
Every account starts with a written baseline of where you stand today, so the first report has something honest to be measured against. If paid search would bring calls sooner while the local work compounds, we say so. Market prices, and what each budget buys, are in our SEO pricing guide.
08 Next step
Find out where you actually stand on the map
You get a profile audit, your map position across your service area, and the specific errors costing you visibility right now, in writing, whether or not you hire us.
Most owners are surprised twice: by how differently the map treats them three miles from their own front door, and by how many of the problems are one-line fixes that have been quietly costing calls for years.
09 Common questions
Local SEO questions Round Rock and Austin business owners actually ask
How much does local SEO cost in Austin?
Real local SEO from an agency usually costs $1,500 to $5,000 a month. Where you land depends on how many services and areas you need to be visible for, the state of your profile and citations, and how competitive your trade is where you work.
Our plans start at $395 a month (the Launch plan), with Expand from $995 for more services and towns, month to month with no contract and no setup fee. If you want to sanity check a budget first, the free planner on our homepage works it out without asking for your email.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Profile and category fixes can move things within a few weeks, because you are correcting information Google already holds and currently has wrong. Prominence takes longer: reviews, area pages and citations compound over months rather than days, and competitors are working too.
Anyone promising the map pack by a fixed date is guessing. What we can promise is a written baseline on day one so you can see exactly what changed and when, rather than taking a graph on trust.
Do I need a physical address to rank in the map pack?
You need a verified Google Business Profile, but it can be a service area business with the address hidden, which is the correct setup for a trade that travels to the customer rather than one people visit.
What you cannot do is invent addresses in the towns you want to rank in, whether that is a mailbox, a friend's garage or a virtual office. Google removes those profiles when it finds them, and the removal can take your legitimate listing with it.
How many Google reviews do I need to rank?
There is no threshold that switches the map on. What matters is that reviews keep arriving at a natural pace, that they mention the actual service and often the area, and that you reply to them, including the negative ones.
A business with forty reviews spread across two years usually outperforms one with sixty that all appeared in a fortnight. Velocity and pattern matter as much as the total, which is why we set up a routine rather than running a review campaign.
Can you manage our Google Business Profile for us?
Yes. The profile stays in your account and we are added as a manager, which means you can see every edit, every post and every review reply, and remove our access at any point without losing anything.
Day to day that covers categories and services, photos, posts, hours including holiday hours, questions and answers, review replies, and watching for the unauthorised edits Google sometimes accepts from the public.
We serve ten towns. Do we need ten pages?
Only if we can write ten pages worth reading. An area page needs something specific on it: the jobs you have done there, what is different about the properties or the traffic, your realistic response time to that area.
Ten pages made by find and replace are worse than three good ones, because thin duplicated pages can pull down the pages you actually care about. We build them at the rate we can write them properly, usually starting with the areas where your best jobs already come from.
Why does my business rank in one suburb but not the next one over?
Distance. Google measures from the person searching, so a business in Round Rock naturally shows strongly for Round Rock searches and fades as the searcher moves toward south Austin, where closer competitors take over.
You cannot beat proximity everywhere, but you can widen the radius where you are competitive by building genuine relevance and prominence for those areas: a real page for the area, reviews that mention it, and a profile whose services match what people there are searching for.
What is a citation and do they still matter?
A citation is any mention of your business name, address and phone number on another site: Apple Maps, Bing Places, Yelp, industry directories, the local chamber. They matter less than they did a decade ago as a ranking lever, and they still matter as a consistency signal.
The damage comes from contradictions rather than from missing listings. Three different phone numbers across four sites makes Google less confident about which business is which, and less confidence means less visibility. The job is agreement, not volume.
Do you work with businesses outside Austin?
Yes, and a good share of our clients are outside Texas. The method does not change: audit the profile, fix what is wrong, build the pages and the review routine, then measure from a grid across the service area rather than from one point.
What being local buys you is knowledge of the neighbourhoods, which affects how area pages are written. From further away we ask more questions and lean on what you already know about where your best jobs come from.
How do I improve my SEO score?
There is no single SEO score, which is the first useful thing to know. Tools that hand you one out of 100 are grading their own checklist, not Google’s. What actually moves you is narrower: pages that load fast on a phone, one page per thing you sell, wording that matches what customers type, a Google Business Profile that is complete and active, and reviews arriving steadily.
Start by finding out where you rank today for the searches that matter, because without that baseline every change afterwards is guesswork. We give you that read in writing whether or not you hire us.
What is the 80/20 rule in SEO?
The idea that a small share of the work produces most of the result. For a local business that is usually true, and the 20% is nearly always the same three things: the Google Business Profile, a fast site with a clear page for each service, and reviews.
The other 80%, the technical audits, the schema, the link building, matters once those three are right and rarely before. Anyone selling you the 80% first has the order backwards.
What are the 3 C’s of SEO?
Content, code and credibility, or some variation on it. Content is whether the page answers the question. Code is whether a search engine can read and load it. Credibility is whether anything outside your own website suggests you are real: reviews, citations, mentions.
It is a useful shorthand rather than a framework. A local business that is losing is usually failing on one specific thing, and finding which one is worth more than any acronym.
What are common SEO mistakes?
One page called Services covering eight different jobs, so Google has nothing specific to rank. A phone number sitting inside an image. A site that takes five seconds on cell data. A Google Business Profile with the wrong hours and no photos since 2022. Service area pages that are the same paragraph with the town name swapped, which Google treats as doorway pages.
The most expensive one is not measuring: running SEO for six months with no baseline, so nobody can say afterwards whether it worked.
How much does Google SEO cost?
For a small local business most agencies land somewhere between a few hundred and a few thousand a month, and the range is that wide because the work is. What decides it is how competitive your trade is where you operate, what state your site is in, and how much has to be built rather than fixed.
Our SEO plans are published: $395 to $1,495 a month, with custom pricing for Dominate, with no setup fee and no contract. The market ranges, and what each budget buys, are in how much SEO costs.
Can you do Google SEO yourself?
Yes, and some businesses should. Claiming and completing your Google Business Profile, adding real photos, asking every happy customer for a review, and writing an honest page for each service will move a local business further than a lot of paid work does.
Where it stops being realistic is the diagnosis: knowing why you dropped, which of forty possible causes it was, and what to fix in what order. That is the part worth paying for, and it is the part we will tell you about for free on a call.
What’s the difference between SEO and local SEO?
SEO covers the whole of how your website ranks: technical health, pages, content and links. Local SEO is the part that decides the map pack, which is your Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and how close you are to the person searching.
Most local businesses need both, and they feed each other. A site that ranks well makes the map listing more credible, and a strong profile sends people to a site that has to convert them. Our wider SEO work covers the site side.
