03 The challenge
Problems we solve
Three faults account for most of the gap between a website that exists and one that brings work. All three show up as numbers you can check yourself.
It is slow on a phone
Most local searches happen on a phone on cell data. A page that takes five seconds to appear loses the visitor before they read a word, and loses ground in search at the same time.
Google cannot tell what it is
One page called Services covering eight different jobs gives Google nothing to rank. Add no schema and a missing sitemap and you are invisible for the exact searches you care about.
It never asks for the call
The number sits in an image in the footer, the form asks nine questions, and nothing answers the doubt about price, timing or whether you even cover their street.
04 How we work
From your content to a live site
The clock is set by how fast your content comes back, not by how long the build takes.
-
Send what only you have
Your logo, job photos, service list and domain logins. Plus the five questions you get asked most on the phone, because those become the pages that earn search traffic.
-
Agree the page plan
A page for each service you want more of, a page for each area worth writing about, and links between them. About an hour of your time, and it decides whether the site ranks.
-
We build it
On a system we already own and maintain, so speed, structure, schema and accessibility are settled before your project starts. You read it on a private link before anyone else.
-
Launch and measure
Domain pointed, Analytics, Search Console and call tracking connected, and a written baseline of where you stand on day one to measure everything against.

05 What you get
In every build, not just the expensive one
There is no tier where the speed work is missing. What changes with size is how many services and areas get a page of their own.
Live in a day
A starter site can go live the same day we have your content, photos and logins.
Fast on a real phone
Lean pages, WebP images and a CDN, tested on cell data rather than on a desktop window made narrow.
Built for search from page one
Titles, headings, internal links and hand-written schema, submitted through Search Console with a generated sitemap.
Tracking connected day one
Google Analytics 4, Search Console and call tracking recording conversions before the site goes live, not months later.
Hosting handled
SSL, CDN, daily backups, security patching and uptime monitoring. If it breaks on a Sunday night, that is ours to notice.
WordPress, Squarespace or Wix
We have built on all three for more than five years, across many projects. We recommend the one that suits how you want to run your site, or improve the one you already have.
An AI chat agent, built in
A chat assistant that answers customer questions from your own services and prices, day or night, and hands the enquiry to you when you cannot pick up the phone.
Your domain, your accounts
The domain stays in your name, your Google accounts stay yours, and the content we write is yours to keep.

06 Austin web design
Round Rock, Austin, and small businesses across the U.S.
We are based in Round Rock, off the I-35 corridor between the Dell campus and La Frontera, and build for businesses across Williamson and Travis counties: Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, Hutto and into Austin itself.
Being here matters for one thing, which is local search. Knowing that a customer in Teravista and one in Behrens Ranch search differently, or which side of I-35 a service area sits on, changes how the area pages get written. If you are opening or moving a business, the City of Round Rock publishes the permit and licensing steps that usually come before any of this.
Everything else applies anywhere, and plenty of our clients are nowhere near Texas. For the full local picture, see digital marketing in Round Rock.
07 In their words
What clients say about the build
Google reviews of Visible Owl, all five stars, from clients whose site and Google Business Profile we rebuilt.
Very professional team, results oriented, and deeply experienced in the Dental Market. We had a great success working with Visible Owl team, and our SEO ranking significantly improved and the google ranking as well. We are so grateful for the work they have done so far to improve our website and Google Business Profile.
They found a lot of little problems that were adding up and rebuilt the strategy around the services that actually make us money. Probably the first marketing company we’ve worked with where I actually understand what they’re doing and why.
Our business is finally ranked for keywords that are relevant, and we started seeing leads come in in the second month of working with Abdullah, thank you guys.
08 Money
What a small business website costs
Websites start at $695 for a 1 to 2 page site, and every package is on our pricing page. You get the price in writing before any work starts.
What moves the number is scope: how many services need their own page, how many areas you cover, and whether an existing site needs its rankings carried across. For market prices, building it yourself and the yearly bills, read how much a website costs.
09 Next step
Ready for a site that earns its keep?
Send your service list, your photos and your domain logins, and a starter site can be live in a day.
The first conversation is a free fifteen minutes and ends with a straight answer about what your current site is costing you. If the honest answer is that the site is fine and the problem is somewhere else, we will say so.
10 Common questions
Web design questions Austin business owners actually ask
How much does a small business website cost in Austin?
From $695 for a 1 to 2 page site, one-time. Bigger sites are priced by how many services and areas need their own page, up to $2,995 for 14 pages, and every package is on our pricing page.
You get the price in writing before any work starts. If you want a budget range for the whole year first, the free planner on our homepage works backwards from your revenue goal without asking for your email.
How long does it take to build a small business website?
A five page starter site can go live the same day we have everything we need from you: your logo, your photos, your service list and the logins for your domain. A fifteen page site typically runs a couple of weeks, and a thirty page authority build a few weeks longer.
The difference is writing, not building. The technical work takes about the same time on every project because it runs on a system we already own and maintain. What sets the schedule is how quickly content and answers come back from you, which is why we ask for a business day turnaround on drafts.
Do you build on WordPress, Squarespace or Wix?
Yes. We have built and looked after sites on WordPress, Squarespace and Wix for more than five years, across many projects. Each suits a different owner: WordPress when you want full control and room to grow, Squarespace or Wix when you want to make your own edits without calling anyone.
If you already have a site on one of them, we will tell you honestly whether to keep it and fix what is slowing it down, or rebuild. Sometimes the right advice is to fix the hosting and the images and leave the rest alone.
Can you design my logo and branding too?
Yes. We design logos and brand identities alongside the websites we build, and have done it for several clients who came to us with no logo at all, or one that no longer fit the business.
Branding is quoted together with the website, so you get one plan and one price rather than two separate projects.
Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
It can, and this is the single most common way small businesses lose their search traffic overnight. A redesign that renames every page without redirects throws away everything the old addresses earned, and nobody notices until the calls stop a few weeks later.
Before we rebuild anything we record what the current site ranks for and which pages bring the traffic. Every one of those addresses either survives or gets a 301 redirect to the page that replaced it, so the new site inherits what the old one earned. If your traffic has already dropped after a redesign, that is a different job and it starts on our website and SEO recovery page.
Do I own the website and the domain?
Your domain is registered in your name, and the content we write for you is yours to keep. Your Google Business Profile, Google Analytics and Search Console are your accounts with us added as a manager, which means you can see everything we do and remove our access whenever you like.
If we host the site and you decide to leave, we hand over your content and assets so it can be rebuilt anywhere, and there is no exit fee. Nothing that matters to your business lives in a dashboard you cannot log into.
Will my website work properly on a phone?
It is built for the phone first, because that is where most local searches happen and because Google indexes the mobile version of your site rather than the desktop one. In practice that means tap targets big enough to hit accurately, a phone number that dials when tapped, text you can read without pinching, and images that do not stall the page on cell data.
We check it on a real phone on a real connection before launch, not only in a desktop browser window made narrow, because those are not the same test.
Can you write the content, or do I have to?
We write it, after talking to you. The parts of a service page worth reading are the things only you know: what customers ask on the phone, what goes wrong on a job, what you refuse to do and why, how long things actually take. We get that out of you in a conversation and write from it.
Nothing gets published in your name without you reading it first. If a page says something you would never say out loud to a customer, we change it.
Do you build sites for businesses outside Austin?
Yes. We are in Round Rock and know Central Texas well, and being local genuinely helps with map visibility and with writing area pages that sound like somebody has been there. Everything else, the build, the speed work, the structure and the content, applies to a small business anywhere in the U.S., and a good part of our work is outside Texas.
If the map pack is your main priority and you are in another state, say so on the first call and we will tell you honestly what that changes.
Do you design websites for businesses across Williamson County?
Yes. We are in Round Rock, so Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, Hutto and Brushy Creek are all a short drive, and a site for a Williamson County business gets built with the county’s own search behaviour in mind: people search the town name, not the county, and they search it on a phone.
That means the town you actually serve has to appear in the text of the page rather than only in a footer list, the Business Profile has to agree with it, and the site has to load fast on a phone signal out past the toll road. None of that costs extra. It is just what the build includes.
What are the 5 best SEO tools?
For a small local business the honest list is shorter than five. Google Search Console for what you actually ranked for, the Google Business Profile dashboard for the map, PageSpeed Insights for how fast the site really is on a phone, and Google Analytics for what visitors did once they arrived. All free, all first-party.
The fifth slot is a paid tool such as Ahrefs or Semrush, and it is worth the money only when you need competitor data or you are tracking a lot of pages. Most owners are not.
What is the simplest SEO tool?
PageSpeed Insights. Paste your address, get a report on how the page performs on a phone and what is slowing it down. No account, no setup.
Search Console is nearly as simple once it is verified, and it is the more useful of the two, because it tells you what people searched to find you rather than what a crawler makes of your code.
Which Google tool is used for SEO?
Three, and they do different jobs. Search Console shows your performance in search results. The Google Business Profile dashboard runs the listing that decides the map results. PageSpeed Insights measures how the page loads on a real phone.
Analytics sits alongside them for what happens after the click. All four are free, and any agency worth hiring will set them up in your name rather than in theirs.
Does Google have a free SEO tool?
Several, and they are the ones that matter most: Search Console, the Business Profile dashboard, PageSpeed Insights and Analytics. Between them they cover what you ranked for, what the map is doing, how fast the site is, and what visitors did next.
They belong in your Google account, not your agency’s. If you ever part ways, you keep the history.
Can I do SEO myself for free?
A meaningful amount, yes. Complete the Google Business Profile properly, add real photos regularly, ask every satisfied customer for a review, and give each service its own page written in the words customers actually use. That costs nothing and beats what a lot of businesses are paying for.
What you cannot do for free is buy back the months lost to fixing the wrong thing. If the site is slow or something broke, the diagnosis is worth paying for even if you do the rest yourself.
